Emigration and Immigration

In the 19th and 20th centuries, many people left their homes. Many have emigrated to the USA, Canada and South America. They found work as farmer, miners or workers in the steel industry.

I can explore:

  • when the ancestor emigrated,
  • how they travelled,
  • when did the ancestor arrive,
  • how much money they had,
  • health condition,
  • whether the ancestor could read and write,
  • their final Destination.

The number of information depends on the available documents.

On the following Photo there is an example of a document of an emigrant.
