The oldest cheese

The oldest cheese was found in China, in the tomb of the Xiaohe people. The cheese was given to the dead as food in the afterlife. The cheese was made in the Bronze Age, 3,600 years ago, from goat and sheep milk.
The Xiaohe people, however, did not invent cheese making. People in Anatolia and the Levant discovered cheese making 9,000 years ago.
